Here is Mitchell working on the head of the bear. I am glad that he and Deana were there because they provided us with most of the artistic guidance. 

Build a Bear

We built up the snow by piling truckloads of snow into plywood forms that we set up. This is at the mid stage of construction once we took the plywood forms off. 

The Finished Product

This is the finished product. The Bear became somewhat of a folk tale, and the story of the bear was passed from person to person. I think at one point that the hight of the bear was around 22 feet and it took 50 truckloads of snow and was built over 5 days. As the story continues to be told I am sure that itwill grow bigger and more outragous. But it was alot of fun to build and it will probably be there when we go down in the spring.

We had such a wonderful Christmas with our families this year. We're looking forward to 2006 and the anticipation of a new baby in May. Hope all is well with all of you.
