On the Road again...

Here we all are as we stopped at the Information Center on our way south to St. George. We took a little jaunt through the museum they had there and snapped a few pictures. Scotia was quite taken by the the stuffed beaver they had there. She kept pointing at it and saying 'hi kitty!' 'hi kitty!'.

I Am a Mother First

Here are a few pictures from Mother's Day. I love my kids. Sometimes in life I get so caught up with everything that I'm supposed to be doing that I forget that I'm a mother first, and everything else (dishes, laundry, errands) comes after that. This Mother's Day I made a resolve to myself to be a mother first everyday. I've been loving that way thinking this way makes my day so much better.

And, yes Nixon is wearing girls clothes in these pictures. Sometimes that boy is just so silly.

We had a nice day...once.

Once upon a time we had a sunny day and we played outside in the pool and we loved it. We really miss the sun.

The Treasure Cake

Blogger is being kinda wacky tonight so I'm posting Nixon's birthday cake in a separate post for two reasons.

#1 It was so awesome that it pretty much deserves it's own post...
and #2 It was just so awesome.

Nixon's 4! (Mom's Birthday Account)

This is an account of Nixon's 4th birthday by me, Mom. There were so many great pictures of his big day that I thought I'd add just a few more to what Trev already posted.

Ahoy der maties!

Papa Pirate lead us all on an epic adventure fraught with danger and adventure. The map lead up through an ocean where we fought off another pirate ship with a canon and later stumbled upon the hidden treasure that was marked with and X. Our party pirate adventurers loved the journey and certainly enjoyed the buried treasure (chocolate coins and goodie bags) that they found in the end.

A BIG shout out goes to Papa Pirate for the awesome costume and the even awesomer adventure. The party wouldn't have been as fun without you. Nixon's still talking about it and I keep getting reports from his friends mom's that they are too.
