We planted a garden this year with some friends of ours, the Torries, and have been so glad we did. Once a week or so the kids and I go and raid it and then during the week we enjoy fresh potatoes, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, and green peppers. It's been so wonderful and such a treat to have. We did try planting corn, lettuce, beans and peas too but they didn't grow very well and we haven't gotten much from them. We really love having a garden!

woohoo for gardens! i love that you are teaching your kids early to appreciate the simple things like gardens :) they are few and far between these days!
